Hot Air Balloon-3D
In the Hot Air Balloon project, we were to make something 3D. We used paper plates, paper stripes, markers, cotton balls, and tape to create this project. First, we took the paper plate and pulled the paper strips over the plate to create a bubble effect. We did this until the paper plate was filled with color. Once we were done with that you tape it down to the paper. We then get to draw a background that really makes our hot air balloon pop.
Extension Activity: For this lesson, I would tie in a geometry lesson and draw a triangle from the balloon on the ground, and one building or object in the picture and learn the Pythagorean theorem. This would be for about a highschool or maybe advanced middle school level of students as well.
