Pottery pot

In this lesson, we got to make our very own pots out of air-dry clay. We had to take a little chunk of clay and roll it out into snake-like rolls and then we had to place it on top of the previous layer. We did this until we had a pot that was in the shape we would like. We then got to chose if we wanted to put texture on the outside of the pot or paint it or do both!

Extension Activity: Language Arts lesson; For a language arts lesson students would be studying what nouns and adjectives are. What I would have students do is to write as many nouns and adjectives they can think of and put the little notes into the pot. Students would also get to write the definition of a noun and an adjective well and also put that note into the pot.
