Weaving
In this lesson, we got to learn about Native American cultures and how they idealized weaving to represent their own personal beliefs. As a result of this, we got to learn what each color represents in the artifacts they created. In the lesson that was taught today, we got to make our own little mini bracelets that we used string to weave.
Extension Activity: Math; In a future math lesson, you could have students learn how to do measurements using a ruler correctly. They would make the bracelets and then they would be asked to measure the bracelet using the ruler and then record the lengths. You would then compare with a neighbor and explain to them how to correctly use a ruler.
